What this chapter covers
This chapter covers glass and glassware. It runs from unworked glass balls, rods and tubes through sheet glass (cast, rolled, drawn, blown and float), safety glass, mirrors, packing containers, table and kitchen glassware, laboratory glass, glass beads and glass fibres. Fused quartz and other fused silica count as glass wherever they appear in the tariff, while mineral wools that fail the chapter's glass wool definition go to 68.06.

2. 70.03, 70.04 ve 70.05 pozisyonları anlamında:
(a) Cam, tavlanmadan önce gördüğü herhangi bir işlem sebebiyle " işlenmiş " sayılmaz;
(b) Cama kesilerek şekil verilmesi levhalar halindeki camın sınıflandırılmasını etkilemez;
(c) " Emici, yansıtıcı veya yansıtıcı olmayan tabaka " tabirinden, şeffaflık veya yarı şeffaflık derecesi

olan veya ağırlık itibariyle %2'den fazla borik oksit (B2O3) olan mineral yünler anlaşılır.
Yukarıdaki özelliklere uymayan mineral yünler 68.06 pozisyonunda sınıflandırılır.
5. Tarifenin neresinde geçerse geçsin, eritilmiş kuvartz ve diğer eritilmiş silis " cam " sayılır.
