What this chapter covers

This chapter covers furskins — raw, tanned or dressed — along with articles made from them and with artificial fur and its manufactures. In tariff language a "furskin" is the tanned or dressed hide or skin of any animal with the hair or wool still on, other than the raw furskins of heading 43.01. "Artificial fur" means wool, hair or other fibres glued or sewn onto leather, fabric or another backing; imitations produced by weaving or knitting fall outside that definition.

• Tanned or dressed furskins, whether assembled or unassembled (43.02)
• Apparel, clothing accessories and other articles of furskin (43.03)
• Furskins and pieces combined with other materials or sewn into articles (43.03)
• Garments lined with furskin or artificial fur, or trimmed with fur beyond simple ornament (43.03 or 43.04)
• Artificial fur made of wool, hair or other fibres glued or sewn onto leather, fabric or other backing

Chapter notes (official Turkish text)

1. Tarifenin neresinde geçerse geçsin, " kürk " tabiri, 43.01 pozisyonunda yer alan ham kürkler

hariç olmak üzere tüm hayvanların dabaklanmış veya aprelenmiş, tüyü veya yünü alınmamış

post veya derilerini ifade eder.

2. Aşağıda yazılı olanlar bu fasıla dahil değildir:

(a) Kuşların tüylü derileri veya tüylü başka kısımları (05.05 veya 67.01 pozisyonları);

(b) 41. fasılın 1 nolu notunun (c) bendinde yer alan tüyleri veya yünleri alınmamış ham post veya deriler;

(c) Deri veya kösele ve post veya kürkten ya da deri veya köseleden ve taklit kürkten eldivenler,

tek parmak eldivenler ve parmaksız eldivenler (42.03 pozisyonu);

(d) 64. fasılda yer alan eşya;

(e) 65. fasılda yer alan başlıklar ve aksamı; veya

(f) 95. fasılda yer alan eşya (oyuncaklar, oyun ve spor malzemeleri gibi).

3. 43.03 pozisyonu, diğer maddeler ilavesiyle birleştirilmiş kürk ve bunların parçaları ile elbise,

elbise aksamı veya aksesuarı veya diğer eşya şeklinde dikilmiş kürk ve bunların parçalarını

kapsar.

4. İçi kürk veya taklit kürk ile kaplı yahut dışına basit bir süs mahiyetini aşan kürk veya

taklit kürk tutturulmuş giyim eşyası ve aksesuarı (2 nolu notla hariç tutulanların dışındakiler),

hale göre 43.03 veya 43.04 pozisyonlarında yeralırlar.

5. Tarifenin neresinde geçerse geçsin, " taklit kürk " tabirinden; deri, mensucat veya diğer maddeler

üzerine yapıştırılmış yahut dikilmiş yün, kıl veya diğer liflerden meydana gelen taklit kürkler anlaşılır.

Ancak,dokuma veya örme suretiyle elde edilen taklit kürkler bu tabirin dışında kalır (genellikle 58.01

veya 60.01 pozisyonları).
